ja vi por ai algumas sign de ppl que tem foruns onde tem um pequeno banner com as starts, topicos, posts e ate o ulimo usuario registado.

Isso é fácil de se fazer, basta ter pequenos conhecimentos PHP deixo abaixo um link com um tutorial que indica como se faz uma sig assim:
