Se alguem me poder dizer, queria saber como é que ponho ao passar com o rato por cima de um link mudar a imagem de fundo!
Pensoi que é em javascript com a função mouseover. mas não seiu aplicar!

Usa css ;) Vai ao site www.w3c.org e clica no link do css. Estão lá vários sites com tutoriais, o em português é muito bom, tenho-me inspirado nele pa tirar algumas funções ;)

Mas eu não quero que mude a cor do link, isso eu sei fazer.
Eu quero que ao passar por exemplo nesta imagem:



mude para uma mais clara! fazer tipo efeito fading!
Mas a mudar de imagem!

Fazer fading na sei se dá mas tenho quase a certeza que dá para mudares a imagem (on mouse hover) apenas por css.

Utilizei isto para um trabalho meu, altera para o que precisas...

Também podes usar com css... atribuis um background num div ou qualquer coisa parecida e no parametro hover desse atributo mudas a imagem de background. Prefiro este método, mas se calhar através de js fica mais fácil.
